K'VOD WIEDER, M.A. gifted retreat leader, and rabbinic student at American Jewish University, brings his joy of Judaism to AJU, Los Angeles, from his greater spiritual community.

Renewal style Shabbat Torah service with deep and high davvening in Kabbalistic Four Worlds--Spirit, Mind, Heart, Body, is borrowed from Siddurs of Rabbi David Wolfe-Blank, of blessed memory, Rabbi David Zaslow and other creative world Renewal leadership.

Open To Wonder has hosted: Academy of Jewish Religion ordained Chaplains Ruth Belonsky, violinist, and Judith Sommerstein, leading healing prayers, and AJR Rabbi & Chaplain Tsvi Bar-David.
Paulette-Rochelle Levy, dancer, artist, poet, from B'nai Horin leading Sacred Dance ~ Dancing Our Prayers: the embodiment of the Divine through movement and stillness.
Evelyn Baran, from Metivta and the Shtibl Minyan, leyns / chants Torah.

Open To Wonder makes the world a sweeter place to be by including graduates of all rabbinic schools in our inclusive, pluralistic egalitarian service (formerly held at the AJU, LA campus).

Open to Wonder AKA Shabbat Spirit Band includes traditional and uplifting melodies from Reb Shlomo Carlebach, z'tl of blessed memory, and from contemporary composer-musicians, including Phil Bell, Rabbi Shefa Gold, and Debbie Friedman.


K'vod Wieder, M.A. received his masters degree from the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology in Palo Alto. K'vod has been teaching classes, leading retreats, and counseling students in meditation, prayer, and creative forms of Jewish spirituality in the United States for over twelve years. He has served as the assistant director of Chochmat HaLev - a Jewish meditation center in Berkeley, director of the B'nai Tzedek Teen Philanthropy Program for the Harold Grinspoon Foundation, and program director for Elat Chayyim Center of Jewish Spirituality. Currently, K'vod is a student at the Ziegler School of Rabbinic Studies at the American Jewish University. K'vod Wieder, gifted and beloved retreat leader, brings his sense of wonder and joy of Judaism to So. California, from his greater spiritual community.
